Gain the knowledge required to safely work in a confined space and the correct operation and use of gas detectors, conduct atmospheric tests and read and respond to the results. You will learn about the hazards, permit and documentation requirements, control measures, monitoring and testing requirements, responsibilities and duties to undertake confined space work. You will be required to plan and prepare for a confined space entry and develop an effective rescue procedure.
People credited with unit standard 19207 will be able to identify the location, and work procedure to be carried out; examine an entry plan for completeness, and enter, complete work, and withdraw from a confined space in the water industry.
Recommended for people who work on water, or wastewater, or storm water reticulation systems, which collectively make up water reticulation services.
