BeSafe Site Passport – In-Person Training Course
The BeSafe Site Passport in-person training course is designed to give workers a strong foundation in general workplace health and safety. Whether you're new to the workforce or need a refresher, this practical, hands-on session will equip you with the essential knowledge and confidence to contribute to a safer, more responsible work environment.
Led by experienced facilitators, this full-day course includes interactive discussions, real-world examples, and group activities. At the end of the session, you will complete an open book NZQA unit standard 497 assessment.
What You will Learn:
Understanding Health and Safety at Work
- Overview of New Zealand’s Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA)
- Key duties of PCBUs (Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking)
- Rights and responsibilities of workers
- The importance of a positive health and safety culture
Workplace Systems and Communication
- How effective communication supports a safe workplace
- Roles of training and supervision
- Reporting issues and contributing to improvements
- Working together to prevent incidents
