This essential, hands-on course equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in the early stages of a fire emergency. Combining fire science theory with live-fire suppression practice, this course is ideal for anyone who may need to use fire extinguishers in the workplace, on industrial sites, or at home. Learn how fire behaves—and how to control it safely. Aligned with NZQA Unit Standards 3271 and 4647.

• Follow manufacturer instructions for safe use and storage of fire extinguishing equipment

• Confidently and safely suppress small fires using hand-held fire extinguishers and fixed hose reels
