WORKING AT HEIGHTS (NZQA Unit Standard 15757)

If you work at height, it is critical to have the correct training to perform tasks safely and understand the risks involved. This course provides the knowledge and practical experience needed to use, install, and disestablish proprietary fall arrest systems, ensuring you understand your responsibilities and have the skills to work safely at height.

COURSE OVERVIEW

NZQA Unit Standard 15757 – Use, install, and disestablish proprietary fall arrest systems when working at height equips learners with the competence to plan, set up, operate, and safely disestablish fall arrest systems on site.

This unit standard is designed for workers who will be supervising or directly involved in the use of fall arrest systems. It requires learners to already hold NZQA Unit Standard 23229 – Use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at height, as this is a prerequisite.

Learners undertaking this training should have a good level of physical and motor fitness to demonstrate competency in practical exercises and to achieve the standard.less
