Our Fall Arrest Training Pathway offers flexible options to suit your role, experience level, and worksite requirements, all delivered by expert trainers using practical, hands-on learning.

Stage 2 One-Day 23229 Course

Perfect for workers new to fall arrest systems or those needing a formal ticket.

This one-day course equips learners with essential skills and knowledge to use fall arrest harnesses safely while working at height. It includes inspection, use, and anchorage of personal fall protection systems and is assessed against NZQA Unit Standard 23229.

Duration: 1 day (8 hours, in person)

Best for:

  • First-time harness users

  • Workers required to use a fall arrest harness on site

  • Those who don’t yet have 3 months of relevant industry experience

 

Stage 3 Two-Day 23229 & 15757 Course

Ideal for those with site experience ready to expand their competence.

This two-day course builds on the foundation of Stage 2. Learners will complete NZQA Unit Standard 23229 (Day 1) and Unit Standard 15757 (Day 2), gaining practical skills in planning, installing, and disestablishing proprietary fall arrest systems.

Duration: 2 days (consecutive)

Entry Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months relevant industry experience

  • No need to have completed US23229 beforehand—both units are included

Best for:

  • Experienced workers

  • Those involved in complex working at height tasks

  • Staff supporting safe system setup

  • Anyone seeking advanced fall protection skills or a pathway to supervision

 

Standalone One-Day 15757 Course

For workers who already hold US23229 and want to upgrade.

This one-day course delivers NZQA Unit Standard 15757 only. It’s suitable for learners who have already completed US23229 and now want to gain advanced competency in installing and disestablishing fall arrest systems.

Duration: 1 day (8 hours, in person)

Entry Requirements:

  • Completion of NZQA US23229

  • Minimum 3 months relevant industry experience

Best for:

  • Workers upgrading their qualification

  • Teams responding to client or site-specific competency requirements
