Class A Asbestos Removal – Remove Friable Asbestos

People credited with this unit standard are able to:

  • prepare for friable asbestos removal;
  • prepare asbestos removal area and removal site;
  • isolate removal site;
  • carry out friable asbestos removal process;
  • carry out decontamination process;
  • clean-up work site; and
  • contribute to and use documentation in line with New Zealand regulatory requirements.

Delivery methods: Classroom and Practical

Deliver by: Highly Qualified Academician and Work Safe NZ Licence Asbestos Assessor

Pre-requisite: Besafe Site Passport, ConstructSafe, The White Card (Australia), SiteSafe (NZ), or other similar proprietary health and safety induction certification recognised in New Zealand; or demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skills in health and safety in the construction industry. This MUST be emailed to [email protected] prior to course commencementless
