Electrical Supply Industry Safety

Working at Heights/ Pole top rescue

It is recommended to complete a refresher course every 2 years to maintain competency and keep up to date with any changes.

Unit Standard includes:

10508- Identify electricity systems in preparation for work. ( 6 credits )

18038- Demonstrate knowledge of and apply health and safety in the electricity

supply environment. ( 5 credits )

10507- Use personal protection equipment within an electricity supply

environment. ( 4 credits )

12300- Demonstrate knowledge of electricity industry safety statutes and

codes - NZECP 34 & SM-EI ( 6 credits )

23229 - Use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at

height (4 credits)

10509- Climb and work on electricity network structures (6 credits)

17025- Carry out a rescue from an electrical structure (2 credits )less
