We are a Te Pūkenga - Earn Learn provider, delivering specialist training to help you complete your apprenticeship. 

  • This course is for Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainlaying, Roofing, and Scaffolding – Choose our First Aid Level 2 course with all three unit standards: 6401, 6402 and 6400.
  • If you are completing - Electrical – Choose our First Aid Level 1 course with just two units 6401 and 6402.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW

Our One-Day Advanced first aid course will help you to gain the confidence to provide 1st aid when it may be required for more than one patient in an emergency. You will learn to assess and manage multiple patients for: shock, bleeding, burns, fractures, soft tissue injuries, poisonings, heart attack, asthma, stroke, seizure and diabetes.

You will also be able to provide basic life support through CPR and management of a foreign body airway obstruction (choking).

 

NZQA unit standards included:

US 6401 Provide first aid (1 credit)

US 6402 Provide resuscitation level 2 (1 credit)

US 6400 Manage first aid in an emergency situation level 3 (2 credits)less
